Another fraud-busting technique employed by Bullshido.net is its regional "Throwdowns" organized by members. These Throwdowns are friendly gatherings to spar against some of their fellow members under mutually agreed-upon rules and levels of protection. Throwdowns allow one to test their martial ability against people of different styles and different abilities in order to see whether one’s training holds up against a variety of opponents. At minimum, all participants are required to abide by minimum standards of safety in equipment and techniques, and are expected to “go home as friends” after the day is over.
