Adults
- Core Classes
There are no advanced techniques, just fundamentals performed
with more sophistication. New athletes as well as those with more
experience can train together. The newcomer is being introduced
to the fundamentals while the veteran is developing their game.

MMA201
The focus is on refining skills developed in MMA101. Members drill
with a greater degree of resistance and are introduced to progressive
sparring. As always the student’s goal is to improve their
skill and conditioning - and have fun at the same time.
Stand Up: introduction to Kickboxing
skills, contact drills and sparring
Clinch: greater emphasis on pummeling,
controlling position while standing, and developing effective takedowns
against greater resistance
Ground: developing the understanding
of ground game, mobility on the ground, holding position, escaping,
set-ups, and submissions - a greater emphasis is placed on rolling
(wrestling)
Transitions: inter-game drills: Stand
Up vs. Ground, Ground vs. Stand Up, etc.
MMA301
Students are adding depth to their overall game. The focus is on
combinations, transitions and strategy. A much greater emphasis
is placed on sparring.
Stand Up: Boxing/Kickboxing, skills
in relation to self-defense and competition -- drilling and sparring
Clinch: controlling the clinch as
a platform for striking, transition to or defense against takedowns
-- drilling and pummeling
Ground: further refining the fundamentals,
developing depth in the game -- drilling and wrestling
Transitions: sparring: role sparring,
situational sparring, sparring with varying degrees of contact.
BJJ101
Core class specializing in the sophisticated art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu,
for self-defense, fitness, and competition
- Ground(ed) fighting (mobility, falling and getting up), positional
strategy, escapes, introduction to submissions
BJJ201
Core class refining the skills developed in BJJ101,
and MC101.
- Developing the understanding of ground game, mobility on the
ground, holding position, escaping, set-ups, and submissions –
a greater emphasis is placed on rolling (wrestling)
JUDO (Gi/no Gi)
Core class specializing in Judo based high impact throws for self-defense,
fitness, and Judo/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition – presented
in a non-traditional format
- Basic breakfalls, grips, throws and throw/takedown defense
- Combinations, strategy, transitioning to the ground –
a greater emphasis placed on sparring
WRESTLING
Core class specializing in wrestling takedowns for self-defense,
fitness, and submission wrestling/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition
– presented in a non-traditional format
- Basic clinch, tie-ups, takedowns and throw/takedown defense
- Combinations, strategy, transitioning to the ground –
a greater emphasis placed on sparring
KICKBOXING101
Core class specializing in functional kickboxing
for self-defense and
fitness -- with an emphasis on conditioning:
Power, Speed, and Endurance
- Footwork and mobility, basic Kickboxing,
basic takedowns and takedown avoidance from a kickboxing structure
KICKBOXING201
Core class specializing in kickboxing, with an
increased emphasis on combinations, contact drills, sparring, and
strategy
SPARRING
Core class devoted completely to sparring and
strategy. The emphasis varies from BOXING/KICKBOXING, GROUND and
VALE TUDO.

ACCELLERATED TRAINING GROUP (ATG)
Intense interval training designed for individuals
who wish to join the competition team, or those who are simply seeking
a challenging workout. Class features sport specific drills to develop
strength, endurance, agility and flexibility – all within
the context of competition training.
