Jude
Ledesma
Jude’s childhood training sessions with his father led to
a lifelong passion for self-defense training. Over the years he
studied several systems and eventually began teaching Jeet Kune
Do classes. Through his training he discovered his most valuable
experiences were the hard sparring in his father’s gym, high
school wrestling, and some novice boxing in the Army. After this
epiphany, he started Muay Thai and eventually competed under San
Shou rules. He was always looking for a better way to train. He
found it in functional training in fundamental skills. A Burton
Richardson, JKD Unlimited, seminar and one with Rory Singer, SBGI,
showed him how great training alive – Stand Up, Clinch and
Ground -- could be. He’s been with the Berkeley Gym ever since.
